I love so much about this wedding… Kaz’s stunning elegant dress which was handmade by a mate, the outdoor ceremony (whoop!), The Fantastic Mr. Fox wedding cake, the flowers, the flower fields, and the wicked flower crown, the pies, the games and of course the gorgeous Chris & Kaz – I feel like I’ve known you guys for years, thank you so much, it was a real honour to be a part of your day xxxx

Shelley & Daniel got in touch and told me they were going for a kind of non-wedding wedding… there were to be no bridesmaids, no best men, no ushers, no flowers, no speeches and no first dance… This wedding totally rocked, it was about two lovers celebrating their love with their nearest and dearest – there were tears (lots of tears!) amazing family, utterly fantastic friends, lots of speeches (as if their friends weren’t ALL going to say something!!) lots of hugs, kisses, and the best shapes on the dance floor that went on all night! This has to be my favourite pre-wedding shoot by far! I love so much about this shoot; I loved setting the whole thing up, Jane & Duncan’s love for the country, the reactions from all those Sunday walkers, and Jane’s stunning red hair!
Foxy ears, fur coats, dead pheasants, a red waistcoat, a fur tie, a couple of amazing locations, lots of laughter, and a fantastic couple who came over from Australia. I didn’t want to stop photographing you guys, super excited about your wedding, see you in May – Ekkkkkkk!!

Oh my… This Narnia session took place in the most magical woodlands which once belonged to C.S.Lewis himself, and was thought to be the inspiration behind the Narnia classics. When Jolene and Sarah booked me for a family session last summer and told me their love for C.S.Lewis, you can imagine how excited we all got once we added a wardrobe, some fur coats, and a whole load of snow to the shoot!
And so this time last year I nervously launched “Philippa James Photography”. My plan was to shoot things a little bit differently and only from the heart, and what a lucky girl I’ve been! All thanks to my clients who have given me one hundred percent of their trust, from the beginning (when I’m exploring crazy themes and ideas) to the end (when they are standing in front of the lens) I feel a magical collaboration between us is created.
2013 brings me lots more exciting collaborations with you peeps who’ve booked me for weddings, photo shoots, and family sessions – you know who you all are!! My pinterest boards are overflowing, my prop store is having an extension and my inspiration is about to explode! Yeeeeehhaaaaaaaaa!
